Future of Coaching
Setra Coaches are one of the top manufactures in luxury coaches of today. They have been very successful in producing top of the range coach transportation since 1911 to the current day.
The Setra coach I have designed is my vision of how Setra coaches may look like in 25-30 years time. Setra are very successful in producing top end coaches for people to travel. I feel this concept will greatly add to their fleet, allowing people in the future to travel with the expectation of quality and reassuring comfort.
Thousands of people travel by coach all over the world every year, and Setra are one of the top companies that supplies coaches, allowing people to do so. Coaches are an alternative to the way in which people travel, due to people choosing not to travel by plane or boat for example when coaches are often far cheaper and a more direct form of transportation. Within this concept, I want the user of the coach to be in a safe, comfortable environment whilst travelling to their destination. Coach journeys range from hours to days, depending on destination. To be able to have your own space so as you can relax and be comfortable during the trip, I feel is very important. When travelling on a coach for a number of hours or days, it can become very monotonous and tedious. When people travel abroad for example, most won’t start their holiday till they have reached their destination. This concept allows the user to be able to start their holiday as soon as they step on the coach. I want them to start their break straight away and not have to dread the journey ahead. The same can be said for the return journey as people who have enjoyed their break will not look forward to a long coach journey home. Again with this concept they will be able to relax and recoup orate during the journey, and prepare to return home.
Global issues are and environmental subject are key points when designing and producing vehicles in today’s automotive industry. Efficient methods of driving a vehicle are advancing every day. With this concept I have raised key issues and have produced a way in which travel can be made more efficient. Hydrogen Hybrid system will be used to power and drive this vehicle, allowing it to travel far distances, cheaply and efficiently. The range in which this concept will be able to travel will be much greater than the normal diesel combustion engine used in most of the coaches in today’s society.
The design of the concept comes from a number of key features that have been carried throughout the Setra range. I have incorporated these into my design and have developed an insight into how I feel could be the future of Setra Coaches.
